Route Development Associate

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Route Development Analyst will be assisting to ensure the traffic growth at the airport. This position is crucial in identifying and developing new routes, managing existing routes and driving an increase in frequency of existing routes. The analyst will ensure the development of a competitive database and manage benchmarking studies to provide strategic insight for future growth.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Route Development

• Assist in the implementation of the Airline Development Strategy for the airport.
• Assist in defining and benchmarking new routes and stabilize existing routes.
• Research and create business development cases for new and potential routes, frequencies and airlines. Liaise with all Airport Stakeholders in developing potential business.
• Assist in the review of day to day, monthly and seasonal routes to study route sustainability and performance
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual passenger traffic analysis. To assist in making recommendations to management through presentations or written reports to guide strategic decisions.
• Create an efficient database for competitive analysis. Collect government statistical data such as tourism arrival numbers, recruitment/OFW numbers, P2P/Provincial pax data and analyze to create marketing initiatives to improve uptakes.
• Regularly studying and analyzing the global best practices at airports, and determining the extent and scope of incorporating the same at the airport
• Maintains and builds strong and effective relationships with concessionaires/business partners and regulatory agencies with the overall objective of ensuring customer service, operational standards and financial performance is optimized at all times.
• Assist in developing Traffic Development Annual Operating Plans and ensure achievement of targets set.

Air-hub strategies

• Assist in creating processes and procedures to develop CRK transfer/transit facilities. 
• Assist in engaging the Airline stakeholders to ensure consistently in the transfer operations and develop long term network strategy in CRK.
• Assist in developing and promoting stop-over benefits to attract transfer/transit passengers into CRK. 
• Assist in providing monthly transfer reports and identify domestic/international city pairs where CRK has the potential to gain transfer market share. 
• Encourage code-sharing & interlining between base and foreign airlines through virtual interlines.
• Reduce leakage of traffic and increase capture of spillage to/from MNL.
• Improve the connectivity through various transport groups from different catchment regions to acquire maximum potential of transfer passengers.

Aero Commercial

• Ensures validation and collection of monthly aero revenues such as PSC,  landing and take-off, check in counter, Parking, Lighting and Tacking.
• Research new opportunities and provide strategic insight in order to grow other aero revenue streams. 
• Assist in the negotiation of new aero commercial agreements and complete tendering in order to test market value
• Prepares and facilitates aero commercial agreements and ensures completeness, management and safekeeping. 
• Assist and coordinate with Commercial to ensure other services such as leasing, service providers to airlines (GH, Ramp Bus Provider, IBR Operator, In Flight Catering Operator, Refuelling) are accredited and in order.
• Assist the project teams in current and future planned Aero Commercial development ensuring deadlines on completion are kept on track
• Assist in the preparation and delivery and continued regular reporting of the Aero Commercial revenue budget each year.
• Ensure timely application of increase in aero revenues as mandated by the parametric formula based on Concession Agreement.
