DITO forges partnership with LIPAD to offer free WIFI to CRK passengers

Clark, Angeles Pampanga – As DITO Telecommunity celebrates the third year of commercial operations, the fastest growing telco in the Philippines through DITO Business has entered into a milestone partnership with Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corp. (LIPAD).

The landmark agreement, a first for DITO, seeks to provide free WIFI access within Clark International Airport (CRK) to enhance domestic and international traveler experience.

DITO Telecommunity CEO Eric Alberto said that connectivity will be through the latest WIFI technology available in the country which is faster and provides more in terms of capacity.

The CEO of DITO further explained, “Providing free WIFI to passengers is not just about keeping them connected during their journeys. It’s about bridging the gap conveniently between loved ones, facilitating business transactions, and empowering individuals with access to information and opportunities.”

Alberto’s comment is rooted in two of DITO’s goals which are to connect every Filipino to the people, and things that matter to them the most and to see a day where data access is no longer a privilege, but a right for everyone.

The memorandum of agreement was signed by DITO CEO Eric Alberto, DITO CRO-Business Adel Tamano, LIPAD President and CEO Noel Manankil, and LIPAD Chief Finance Officer Gina Gopez, witnessed by DITO CTO Rodolfo Santiago, DITO executives, and the LIPAD Execom.

LIPAD President and CEO Noel Manankil expressed his gratitude to DITO for having chosen Clark International Airport, the northern international gateway of the country as DITO’s first of many more free internet public access service projects.

“In this day and age when internet connectivity is already a necessity, it is important for LIPAD to ensure that CRK passengers enjoy seamless connection to complete their hassle-free travel experience.

We would like to thank DITO for choosing CRK as their first airport partner. With this undertaking, we are confident that users of Clark Airport can stay connected”, said Manankil.

“In a country like the Philippines, where connectivity can sometimes be a challenge, our commitment to provide reliable and accessible WIFI is more than just a business strategy. It is more than just making our potential subscribers and business partners experience the strength of DITO. This partnership with LIPAD for Clark International Airport is testament to our mission and our commitment,” Alberto ended.
