Starting March 1, Clark International Airport (CRK) passengers will have the extra convenience of checking in at SM City Clark before heading to the airport.
This new facility allows travelers to complete their web check-in process before arriving at the airport, reducing stress and saving valuable time.
“This initiative is part of our commitment to enhancing the passenger experience at Clark International Airport,” said Noel Manankil, Chief Executive Officer of Luzon International Premiere Airport Development (LIPAD). He adds “Travelers can take advantage of the mall’s dining,
shopping, and leisure options before their flight, including picking up last-minute pasalubong.”
The facility offers seating for passengers waiting for the check-in process, along with a baggage repacking station and a weighing scale. It also has baggage storage, allowing travelers to securely store their luggage while they dine, shop, or relax before their flight.
From SM City Clark, travelers can easily reach CRK via the Clark Loop, a bus rapid transit system within Clark, as well as blue taxis and Grab. The mall is also highly accessible through point-to-point (P2P) bus services operated by Genesis Transport, with routes from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) and Trinoma in Quezon City.
“This partnership demonstrates SM Supermalls’ commitment to supporting local communities and the travel industry. By providing this valuable service, we’re not only improving the passenger experience but also contributing to the growth and development of Clark,” said SM Supermalls President Steven Tan.
The City Check-In Facility is a result of a Memorandum of Understanding signed by key players in the aviation and tourism industries, including the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), Department of Tourism-Region 3 (DOT-3), Clark Development Corporation (CDC), CIAC, SM Supermalls, Plaza Premium Lounge CRK Inc., and LIPAD, the operator of CRK.
NOTE: Passengers are still advised to allocate ample time for pre-flight passenger procedures such as the payment of terminal fees, immigration and final security checks. Thus, it is often advised that passengers should be at the airport at least two to three hours before flight departure. This is standard for all carriers. STEP 3: Ensure you have registered with e-travel.
STEP 4: Store your luggage and keep your locker key safe. The CCI staff does not keep a duplicate key in the facility.
STEP 5: Be mindful of the travel time from SM City Clark to the airport and ensure you have ample time to get to the airport for your final check in procedures.
