The Commercial Team of the Luzon International Premier Airport Development Corp. (LIPAD), manager and operator of the Clark International Airport (CRK), met with LUGUD BALEN last 15 July 2020 to introduce and present business opportunities at the New CRK Terminal Building.

Lugud Balen is a community of Kapampangan chefs and restaurateurs that was formed during the start of the Luzon-wide community quarantine. It literally translates to “love for the community”. It is envisioned to be the hub of horizontal partnerships within the community, for the community, and by the community for food security sustainable programs and initiatives. They have different programs such as Lugud Community Kitchen, Lugud Letters, Lugud Bread, Lugud Wheels, and more. The movement plans to launch a trading post called “Salangi Fair Trade Post” to help purveyors and help the food industry cope in this pandemic through low food costs. A percentage of profit goes to Lugud Balen charitable work.

For the new CRK Terminal Building, LIPAD plans to incorporate a “sense of place” in its overall theme and design. With this in mind, the Commercial Team will curate the food and retail options that will be made available and ensure to showcase more Kapampangan brands.

That is why we position the New CRK Terminal to be an incubator for Kapampangan brands – a venue to level up and introduce Kapampangan cuisine to the international audience.
